This blue Kalamkaari in Semi Tussar caught my eye. I had to get it and my idea was to it make into something that is flowy and modern, highlighting this fabric and the beautiful kalamkaari print. I came up with a kalamkaari Bodice that cascades down the waistline into a double shaded shimmering blue georgette skirt. The Kalamkaari keeps it ethnic and the blue georgette makes it very modern. Now why semi tussar – its because this has a nice sheen to it and much better looking and easy to maintain than tussar and better than the cotton kalamkaari which kind of fades away with every wash and which personally i do not like.
